Government ferries in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are one of the most affordable and widely used means of inter-island transport. Managed by the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, these ferries connect major islands such as Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), Neil (Shaheed Dweep), Rangat, Mayabunder, and Diglipur.
Though they are economical, government ferries usually have limited seating and may not be as comfortable or fast as private cruise ferries. However, they are reliable and essential for locals as well as budget travelers.
